A Workshop on Saturday, July 19, from 9am-3pm
2203 Lakeview Terrace, Burlington, NC 27215
Join me at my studio for a day of experimentation and creativity. Monotype is a fun and immediate process that combines painting and printmaking techniques. We will be using oil based inks, assorted plexi-glass plates and a small printing press to create numerous prints and ghost prints. Explore a variety of approaches including reductive and additive techniques, use of stencils, inking natural objects as well as found objects, alcohol resists, trace transfers and if time, overprinting and chin colle.
For those with sensitive skin, nitrile gloves and a non-toxic cleanup method will be used.
Lunch is on your own. A full kitchen is available for your use.
This workshop has a limit of 8 students, so don’t wait to reserve your spot! The cost is $75 and includes all your materials.
