Practice Makes Perfect

My students were hard at work this evening. Everyone is working on their own project, at their own pace. Some are just beginning and some have been involved with art for many years. All are having fun. Why not join us? Classes meet on Mondays from 5-6pm, Tuesdays from 1-3pm and Tuesdays from 6-8pm. Most of your materials are included in the low price of $25 (if paid in advance). Come once a month or once a week, whatever fits your budget and schedule. Call me at 336-460-1411 or email [email protected] now to schedule your first class!

New Collage

Here is another collage I finished. I’ve included some progress shots as well. I started with some monotype on paper. Added some collage, then layered acrylic paint. More collage and paint. Then the final calligraphic lines and dots.

Learn To Draw Now!

This is my newest student, Sierra. She has been drawing Anime for several years, but never used shading or color. Here she is holding her very first colored pencil drawing. Well done Sierra!

New Collages

Now that I have mostly recovered from foot surgery and can stand for short periods, I have gotten back into the studio. Here are two new collages I am working on as part of a series of studies for larger works. I am starting with some monotype layers, adding paint and collage, then more layers of  paint and collage. Look closely to see the very first layers!
